When I returned from Armenia in July, the sound of “peeps” was louder at my house; there were now baby ducks with white feathers and with brown feathers, geese, turkeys and chickens. The white ducks were growing the fastest. The geese got to hang out in a makeshift glass house for a week until they were a little bigger. It took me a few days but I was finally able to tell the difference between the baby white ducks and the baby geese. The feet and beaks were just a little different. I was fascinated by the brown ducks as the baby ducks would group up under the mama duck to keep warm. I could sit and watch them for hours.
